The cheapest option to reach Lombok from Bali is by boat. Use speed boat. It takes around 2 hours from Serangan. If you depart from Padang Bai, it takes 1,5 hour. The boat ticket is around $13,4.

You can take economy seat from Denpasar, Bali to Lombok International Airport. Book the ticket at Tiket.com. The cheapest ticket is tagged at USD 15,02. You will fly with Lion Air. Garuda Indonesia is there to transport you to Lombok. Their cheapest seats are tagged at USD 33.93. It’s okay to take the cheapest flight, because you can save more of your time. It takes around 30 to 45 minutes to fly to Lombok, while the price you would pay is just a bit more expensive compared to the speedboat ticket.

Lombok Transport

If you travel alone, take buses. Bluebird taxis are expensive for solo travelers. To travel to Gili you should take bus and enjoy the trip with locals in public boat. In Gili’s islands the best option to take is Cidomo, a donkey drawn cart. You will find no motorised transport in Gili. It’s best to take Cidomo to travel from one end of the island to the other quickly. If you want to save more money, just walk.

Rent A House

Eat at the food stalls at the street. They offer the same delicious foods as you can see at the tourists’ restaurants, but label the foods at surprisingly lower prices.
